My parents thought it was more important to concentrate on my education and study for O-levels. It was the right decision. I don’t think I would have had the dedication to train from dawn to dusk, which you have to do if you want to be a ski racer. I wouldn’t have been able to stick to that kind of regime. Mind you, most days I write from dawn to dusk.
